COBBLE HILL

The Cobble Hill neighborhood lies near Brooklyn’s northwestern coast, between Brooklyn Heights to the north and Carroll Gardens to the south. At its western border is the 278 Freeway. Only 40 blocks make up this cozy neighborhood, comprised of what the New York Encyclopedia calls “one of the city’s finest collections of nineteenth-century houses.”

Rows of thin, tree-lined avenues and brownstone homes make up most of Cobble Hill. The neighborhood is known for its historic charm, and its central location in Brooklyn provides easy access to any popular destination in and out of the borough. The neighborhood is home to PS 29, one of the top-performing public elementary schools in the city.
